For more efficient IRK Online Registration for Studies, please follow the  instruction below to enter your own data during the registration.

 

In the presentation fictional data are used to illustrate correct registration in the system.

 

Creating the account and starting the (IRK) Online Registration for Studies


Please click the space ”IRK Online Registration for Studies” placed on the left under “Menu” and then start registration following the instructions provided in the presentation below.

Before creating the account, you can look through the catalogue of studies and the list of fields of studies.

Clicking on the button Registration or create a new account, a candidate goes to the window where he/she agrees for processing their personal data.   

 

 


 

 

 

 

A candidate creates his or her personal account entering data in accordance with the description included in the registration form. 

 

 

 

 
 
Candidates who do not have a PESEL number (candidates who are not Polish nationals) receive 11-digit substitute number (the so called artificial PESEL) in the IRK system.

We continue to complete our personal account entering a password, E-mail address and telephone numbers. 

After entering all data, please click the button CREATE ACCOUNT.

 

 
 

Please click the button LOGIN TO THE SYSTEM and then enter your PESEL and Password – Login in.

 

 

 

 


   

STEP 1

Basic data and contact data will be transferred from the Step of creating the account.

After completing each space, please click “Save”. Personal data may be modified until the registration to a given field of study is completed.

After clicking the first step (Registration step by step, point 1), please start completing your personal data in accordance with the description included in the registration form.

 


Correct completion of data in the window Registration step by step is signaled by green color.

Residential address

In the line Type of address, you should choose the right type: city/town, town or village, foreign address.

Please enter your residential or primary address that is consistent with the data in your ID.

Correspondence or mailing address should be entered only if it is different from the residential address.

If the name of a post office (proposed from the catalogue of postcodes) is different, the name of the post office should be corrected.

 

Inhabitants of towns or villages where there are no streets enter the name of the town or village twice -  in the space Street and in the space Town or village

 

  

Education

Please choose the name of a secondary school you graduated from:

- candidates to first degree studies choose from the list the name of a secondary school they graduated from; if the name is not included in the list, candidates choose an option “enter the school that is not listed” and enter the name of a secondary school they graduated from


  • The name of a secondary school a candidate graduated from is chosen by clicking the button Select school from the list; if the name is not included in the list, the name of the school has to be entered manually by clicking the button “Enter the school that is not listed”.    

 

  • Completion of the space Name of high school is obligatory.

  

  • In the spaces Name of high school and Date of issue you should enter a number of a high school diploma and a date of its receipt in the format yyyy-mm-dd. This year’s high schools’ graduates complete a date of the high school’s diploma issue and its number when they receive it. 

 

  • If apart from a high school diploma, a candidate holds an annex/annexes (to the maturity examination taken in a subsequent session or the following year):    

- in the space document number you should enter the number of a high school diploma and after commas give numbers of annexes separating them by commas 

- in the space date of issue you should enter the date of a high school diploma’s issue granting passed maturity examination/maturity diploma for the first time.    

- candidates who were improving a maturity examination and do not have an annex thereto yet, enter only a number and date of a maturity diploma but after receiving the annex, they should add its number in the space for document number (after a comma).

STEP 2

 



Choose fields of studies

After clicking the button Choose fields of studies, a list of fields and specializations of studies is displayed. A candidate may register to chosen fields and specializations of studies if he/she satisfies recruitment requirements to a given study. 

 

 

 

 A number of chosen fields and specializations of studies is not limited but influences the amount of application fee.  
  

 

 


 

 

 



  • After clicking a field of study, a window with the description of the field of study and binding admission rules to the chosen field of study will be displayed. Registration to the chosen field of study is done by selecting the button Register, which is visible in the upper part of the screen. Then the system will ask you to confirm your choice.  
  • The absence of the green button Register means that registration is impossible. It is usually caused by the incomplete entry of data. 

 

 

 

 
Choose entrance exams

Because admission to studies in a foreign language is free – a candidate clicks the button “Save”. 

 

 

STEP 4

 

To pay application fee please use a print of the money order form generated by the IRK system.

Application fee is paid by a money transfer into an individual bank account of a number generated by the IRK system.

In case of money transfers paid from abroad, before the number generated by the IRK system you should add PL; The SWIFT code of the bank servicing the payments: BIGBPLPWXXX

Any handling charges connected with the money transfer are paid by a candidate. In case of a refund of excess payment or a wrong payment made into a bank account into which money for the participation in the recruitment procedure is paid, any handling charges connected with the refund or retransfer of the money are paid by a candidate.     

  

  • After clicking please remit the application fee, a page with the print of remittance of application fee will be displayed via software reading PDF format (e.g. Acrobat Reader).

 

 


 

 


 



 

Application fee should be paid to an individual bank account generated by the system during registration.

  • In the IRK system a candidate receives an individual bank account number (the last 11 digits of this number are the same as the candidate’s PESEL).

If the money order form is completed manually, we use the data available after clicking the button My payments/data to  money transfer  

 

After the payment is booked, an appropriate information will be displayed in the space Paid sum.


 

  • Each application fee should be assigned to a chosen field of study. In order to do it, please click the button “payments”. 

        

 

  • Application fee will be assigned to a given field of study after selecting a word “Yes” from the scroll bar Remitted?   


 
 


After completing the form, please click “Save”.

STEP 5

 Send a photo for Electronic Student ID

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Important:

  • a preferable photo is in JPG format and size of 400 x 500 pixels.

 

  • it is necessary to install Java (SUN) application to adjust a photo.

 

  • a photo submitted electronically should be identical with the photo enclosed to the documents submitted in appropriate Dean’s Office/Faculty Admission Commission.  


After clicking the button Browse, select the photo from a local disc and then click the button SEND to place the photo in the IRK system.

After adjusting the photo, a candidate clicks the button Accept.

 

 


 

Status: Waiting to be accepted by UwB means that the photo is waiting for verification. After being verified by the UwB’s employee, the status of the photo will change into Status: accepted  

 

 

 

 



After announcing the results of recruitment procedure to candidates on their personal registration accounts in the IRK System, candidates qualified to the studies are obliged to submit an entire set of documents to an appropriate Faculty Admission Commission (WKR) conducting the studies in the chosen field:

 
1) a personal data form including name (names) and surname, a date and place of birth, PESEL number - if you do not have a PESEL number, another identification number, a residential address and a mailing address,
2) an original copy or transcript from a high school diploma or IB diploma (International Baccalaureate) or EB diploma (European Baccalaureate), or a high school diploma issued abroad (if a high school diploma cannot be recognized as equivalent based on international agreements – original documents together with certificates of recognition and sworn translations thereof),
3) an original copy of legalization of a high school diploma issued abroad by a Polish embassy or consulate operating in the country of the diploma’s issue or by an embassy or consulate of a country of the diploma’s issue operating in Poland with the note saying: “the diploma entitles its holder to apply for admission to university studies at every type of higher education institutions in the country of the diploma’s issue”, or Apostille,
4) an original certificate of recognition of a high school diploma issued abroad in the country where diploma equivalence issues are not regulated by international agreements,
5) an original translation of a high school diploma into Polish or another language of instruction of the studies,
6) an original copy of a document certifying the knowledge of a foreign language of instruction of the studies,
7) a recent photograph of the candidate consistent with the requirements of ID photographs (1 photo),
8) a copy of an ID certified by the University or another document (passport) confirming the identity of a foreign candidate for studies,
9) a document certifying entitlement to undertake studies on equal terms with Polish nationals: the European Union national’s ID, Card of the Pole, permanent residence card in the territory of the Republic of Poland,
10) an application for issuing student’s electronic ID (a colorful photo in JPG format 300x375 px (20x25mm) at 300 dpi).

 

 

A whole set of original documents entitling a candidate qualified to studies to undertake them should be submitted at the appropriate Dean’s Office/Faculty Admission Commission.
