English teachers from the University of Białystok invite you to the Night of English Teachers. There will also be a screening of shorts films

An introduction to Shakespeare’s English, the etymology of English idioms, a review of Canadian painting and testing of English predisposition – among others such attractions for high school students were prepared by English teachers from the Faculty of Philology of the University of Białystok as a part of the nationwide „Night of English Teachers” campaign. It will take place on November 29 this year, registration is already open.

International Conference: “Synodality in the Church. Biblical, Historical, Theological, and Legal Foundations”

On November 16, 2024, the University of Białystok hosted the International Conference titled “Synodality in the Church. Biblical, Historical, Theological, and Legal Foundations.” The event, organized by the Chair of Catholic Theology at the University of Białystok (UwB) as part of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s „Doskonała Nauka II” (“Excellence in Science II”) project, gathered distinguished experts from Poland and abroad.

Prestigious ERC Synergy Grant for a team involving researchers from the University of Białystok

Research group of prof. Piotr Guzowski from the Faculty of History of the University of Białystok will participate in the Europest projekt entitled „Reunderstanding the Role of Pandemics in Pre-Industrial Europe (1300-1800 CE): History, Life Sciences and Machine Learning”. An international, interdisciplinary team led by prof. Adam Izdebski from the University of Warsaw received the prestigious synergy grant from the European Research Council (ERC).

Three Historians from the University of Białystok with ministerial support under the Excellent Science II and Social Responsibility of Science II programs

A project popularizing science and two monographs – these scientific undertakings by researchers from the Faculty of the History of the University of Białystok: dr Justyna Olędzka, prof. Marzena Liedke and prof. Piotr Guzowski received suport from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education which adjudicated competitions under the Excellent Science II and Social Responsibility of Science II programs. The total amount of founding is over 228,000 PLN.

20th Anniversary of the accession of Central and Eastern European countries to the European Union - what has been achieved and what the future hold of us

With the participation of the Ambassadors of Estonia, Finland, Lithuania and Latvia, representatives of regional authorities and the Director of the European Commission Representation in Poland, took place on October 25 this year at the Faculty of Law of the University of Białystok, a conference on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the accession of Central and Eastern European countries to the European Union.
