From 30 October to 4 November 2025, Chi Minh City and Hanoi hosted the Edu&Science Meetings – Vietnam 2025 educational and scientific mission, organised by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) in cooperation with the Polish Embassy in Hanoi and Vietnamese partner universities. The event was attended by representatives of 12 Polish universities, including the University of Bialystok.
The largest university in Podlasie was represented by dr hab. Agnieszka Piekutowska, Vice-rector for Science and International Cooperation and Anna Maj, Head of the International Cooperation Office.
The aim of the meetings was to strengthen the academic cooperation, develop joint research projects and promote Polish higher education in Southeast Asia.
NAWA was represented by:

dr Joanna Jancz – Director of the Communication and Promotion Office,
dr Mariusz Czech – Director of the Polish Language Programmes Office(Hanoi),

Marek Bogusz – Chief Specialist of the Communication and Promotion Office.
The events were also attended by representatives of the Polish Embassy in Hanoi, the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, the Polish-Vietnamese Parliamentary Group and representatives of 12 Polish universities.
The mission began on 30 October in Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnamese graduates of Polish universities, co-organised by the Polish Embassy. The event was attended by nearly 80 graduates, as well as representatives of NAWA and Polish universities and local academic partners.
The following day, the Vietnam-Poland Higher Education Forum was held at the RMIT University Vietnam campus, opened by Her Excellency Joanna Skoczek, Polish Ambassador to Hanoi, dr. Wojciech Karczewski, Director General of NAWA, and the representatives of the RMIT authorities. Panel discussions and networking sessions allowed for closer ties between universities, and the accompanying mini educational fairs enabled the presentation of Polish academic offerings to Vietnamese students.
On 1 November, the delegation participated in the Study in Europe education fair, organised by the European Union Delegation, promoting Polish universities among young people from southern Vietnam.
On 2 November, the events moved to Hanoi, where the presentation of Polish educational offer continued on the second day of the Study in Europe fair. The following day, 3 November, representatives of Polish universities participated in Erasmus+ & Horizon Europe Days, dedicated to cooperation in the field of research and innovation.
The mission culminated in the conference and roundtable discussion entitled “Polish–Vietnamese Collaboration in Tackling Global Challenges by Strengthening Technology Transfer and Innovation”, organised on 4 November at the Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG). The meeting ended with a mini fair attended by representatives of Polish universities.
At the end of the Polish-Vietnamese educational mission, the delegation members attended a reception for Vietnamese graduates of Polish universities at the Polish Embassy in Hanoi, combined with the celebration of Polish Independence Day.
The visit led to the signing of four letters of intent (Van Lang University, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Gia Dinh University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology) announcing cooperation with new partners from Vietnam. The educational offer of the University of Bialystok also met with great interest from Vietnamese university students.
