The University of Białystok is an even more accessible University – thanks to funds from the NCBR

Modernization of elevators in the buildings of the Faculties of Law and Educational Science acoustic booths that will allow for a free break from excess stimuli and increased availability of digital services – including such activities are envisaged in the project ”UwB a university for everyone" for the implementation of which the University of Białystok received over PLN 7.7 million from the National Center for Research and Development.

The three largest universities in Podlasie will cooperate with the Polish community in Lithuania. Letter of intent signed

It was a unique and symbolic event. The rectors of the University of Białystok, Bialystok University of Technology and the Medical University of Białystok and representatives of Polish organizations in Lithuania signed a letter of intent regarding cooperation in the field of joint education, promotion of science and culture in Lithuania. The agreement was concluded on December 10, 2024 at the new headquarters of the UwB Branch in Vilnius.

Grants from the National Science Center for Historians from the University of Białystok

Two Historians from the Faculty of History of the University of Białystok: prof. Rafał Kosiński and Dawid Kowalik, M.A. will receive grants in the recently concluded NCN competitions: Opus 27 and Preludium 23. They will receive a total of over 900 thousand PLN for their research.

PAN Awards for researchers from the University of Białystok

Prof. Halina Parafianowicz and dr hab. Urszula Kotowska are among the winners of this year's Scientific Award of the Polish Academy of Sciences Branch in Olsztyn and Białystok. In turn, among the distinguished were dr hab. Piotr Kozak and dr Ewa Olchowik-Grabarek. The meeting of the Award Jury took place on December 4, 2024.

The conference in Lublin on the internationalization of higher education with the participation of the Rector of the University of Białystok

Prof. Mariusz Popławski was a guest at the conference entitled "Foreign students in Lublin - potential of experience and new perspectives" organized by the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. The Rector of the University of Białystok took an active part in the panel on international academic cooperation in the global and European educational and research space.
