Workshops, lectures, performances, concerts, interactive games, presentations, competitions, experiments - these are just some of the attractions that the University of Białystok has prepared for the XXI Podlaskie Festival of Science and Art, which will take place on May 9-18. It will be inspiring, scientific and creative! The university invites you to its premises especially on May 15 but there will also be a lot going on in other festival days.

Cooperation: Science - Entrepreneurs - Local Government at the University of Białystok

On April 2, 2025, the first meeting of the series "Cooperation at the interface of Science - Entrepreneurs - Local Government" was held at the Rector's Office of the University of Białystok as part of the Rector's Commission for Projects and Development. It was attended by: the Rector's College, representatives of UwB faculties and organizational units, entrepreneurs and the Marshal's Office of the Podlaskie Voivodeship.

Professor Piotr Hofmański Honorary Doctor of the University of Białystok

An outstanding scientist and lawyer of international renown, judge and President of the International Criminal Court in The Hague in the years 2021-2024, Professor Piotr Józef Hofmański received the title of doctor honoris causa from the University of Białystok on Friday, April 4, 2025. He is the 24th person to whom the Senate of the largest university in Podlasie has awarded this dignity.

Dr Ewa Kaźmierczyk with the Main Prize of the Association of Higher Education Publishers

Dr Ewa Kaźmierczyk’s monograph „The Fallen Capital. Society and Space of Kraków in 18th Century” won the Main Prize of the Association of Higher Education Publishers named after Father Edward Pudełko during the Poznań Book Fair 2025.
