Dr hab. Elżbieta Regulska from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Białystok received the individual Award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for significant achievements in the field of scientific activity. She received the award on February 19 this year during the Gala of Polish Science in Toruń.
Dr hab. Elżbieta Regulska is employed at the Department of Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry, in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Food Analysis. Her research interests include, among others: synthesis and multi-aspect research of new functional materials as photo- and electrocatalysts, supercapacitors and potential anticancer drugs.
The interdisciplinary nature of research conducted by dr hab. Elżbieta Regulska is confirmed by her cooperation with numerous centers abroad: the Universities of Erlangen and Nuremberg in Germany, the University of Texas at El Paso in the United States, InnovationLab in Germany (consortium of BASF, SAP, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, University of Heidelberg), Department of Neurosurgery of the University Hospital in Heidelberg, European Center for Pancreatic Research in Heidelberg, University of Castile -La Manchy in Spain and in the country: Department of Nephrology with the Hypertension Treatment Unit and Dialysis Subunit at the University Clinical Hospital in Białystok, Department of Experimental Pharmacology, Medical University of Białystok.
Currently, the scientist is on a three-year scholarship in Spain where she is implementing a grant financed by the Government of Castile.
Dr hab. Elżbieta Regulska received the Award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education in person during the ceremonial Polish Science Gala which took place on February 19, 2025 (Polish Science Day) in Toruń.
This year, a total of 150 representatives of the scientific and academic community were honored and the awards were granted for particular achievements in organizational, implementation, scientific and teaching activities and for all achievements.
– Your achievements prove that Polish science is at a world-class level and our universities are constantly developing. The involvement of each of you has a real impact not only on the development of technology, medicine, economy and education but also on the everyday lives of millions of Poles - said Minister of Science Marcin Kulasek during the Gala, thanking the winners for their contribution to the development of science.
