Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Białystok with European quality certificates

We are pleased to announce that at the meeting of the PTChem Chemicus Accreditation Committee on December 5, 2024, a decision was made to award the following education quality certificates for educational programs conducted by the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Białystok

  1. Chemistry Eurobachelor® for the first-cycle study program in Chemistry
  2. Chemistry Euromaster® for the second-cycle study program in Chemistry 

Accreditations were granted for five years, from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2029. 

Graduates starting their studies between October 1, 2024 and September 31, 2029 have the right to use the professional title of Bachelor (BSc in Chemistry) / Magister (MSc in Chemistry) approved by both the University of Białystok and the European Chemistry Thematic Network (ECTN) Association. 

European Chemistry Thematic Network (ECTN) is an European non-profit organization whose aim is to ensure a sustainable future of the European Chemistry Thematic Network, a network financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus program. One of the aims of ECTN is to establish a European framework for first-, second- and third-cycle degrees in chemistry. 

Obtaining foreign accreditation is an additional confirmation of the high quality of education for students and doctoral students at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Białystok. Having international accreditation is a factor that helps the faculty establish cooperation with foreign specialists, facilitates obtaining financing for teaching projects and finding appropriate partner institutions abroad. For students, a diploma with ECTN certification guarantees high-quality education, better recognition of achievements in the event of continuing education abroad, as well as increased competitiveness on the domestic and international labor market.
