XXI General Congress of Polish Historians in Białystok

Nearly a thousand scientists, teachers, students and history lovers from Poland and abroad gathered the largest historical congress which took place in Białystok on September 17-20, 2024. Discussions and panels were held around six big topics and the leading slogan was "Man is the creator of history".

Professor Robert Ian Frost received an honorary doctorate from the University of Bialystok

On September 16, the outstanding British historian Professor Robert Ian Frost received an honorary doctorate from the University of Bialystok. He is the 23rd person, including the 4th from abroad, to whom the Senate of University of Białystok granted this dignity.

Doctoral School of the University of Bialystok – one unit replaced three

From September 1, 2024, the Doctoral School of the University of Bialystok has been officially operating. It was created as a result of the merger of the Doctoral School of Humanities, the Doctoral School of Social Sciences and the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences which have been operating at the university since 2019.

University of Bialystok strengthens cooperation with Ming Chi University of Technology in Taiwan

From July 16th to 18th, 2024, representatives of the International Cooperation Office of the University of Bialystok visited the Ming Chi University of Technology in Taipei. The purpose of the visit was to plan joint activities, based on the cooperation agreement between both Universities, signed in August 2023.

Grand Opening of the new headquarters of the Vilnius Branch of the University of Bialystok

The Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Poland - Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, the Chairwoman of the Lithuanian Sejm - Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, the University of Bialystok authorities, students and invited guests were among the participants of the Grand Opening of the new headquarters of the Vilnius Branch of the University of Bialystok, held on July 6th, 2024.
