PAN Awards for researchers from the University of Białystok

Prof. Halina Parafianowicz and dr hab. Urszula Kotowska are among the winners of this year's Scientific Award of the Polish Academy of Sciences Branch in Olsztyn and Białystok. In turn, among the distinguished were dr hab. Piotr Kozak and dr Ewa Olchowik-Grabarek. The meeting of the Award Jury took place on December 4, 2024.

The conference in Lublin on the internationalization of higher education with the participation of the Rector of the University of Białystok

Prof. Mariusz Popławski was a guest at the conference entitled "Foreign students in Lublin - potential of experience and new perspectives" organized by the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. The Rector of the University of Białystok took an active part in the panel on international academic cooperation in the global and European educational and research space.

Dr hab. Agnieszka Piekutowska is the new Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation of the University of Białystok

We are pleased to announce that as of December 1, 2024, the position of Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation of the University of Białystok will be taken over by dr hab. Agnieszka Piekutowska. This decision results from the professor's many years of experience and involvement in the development of our university, especially in the area of internationalization.

Current measurements of temperature and oxygen in the waters of several rivers in the Podlaskie Voivodeship – this is offered by the website woda.uwb.edu.pl which was launched as part of the project "Water Academy and creation of the "AQUA" Educational Laboratory.
