The Planetarium and the UwB Astronomical Observatory are located on the UwB campus, at Ciołkowskiego 1P Street. They constitute a unique educational "astronomical" complex. The planetarium is located on the first floor of a six-story building, original in form and perfectly fitting into the space of the University of Białystok campus. We can get there by elevator or stairs. The audience has a special intimate room with a hemispherical screen with a diameter of 7 meters. The most important element of the equipment is a modern fulldome digital projection system. 3D image in 4K resolution.
Two projectors constituting the Navitar Fisheye (USA) optical system with 4K resolution enable the generation of high-quality 3D and 2D images. The sound system is provided by Sound Surround 5.2. In the planetarium, it is possible to show both ready-made presentations and films, as well as interactive "live" projections, including live streaming from the telescope located in the observatory. A realistic journey through the solar system is provided by Sureyyasoft's Shira Universe software. The technical equipment was provided by the Białystok company DELTA. The planetarium will accommodate 32 people who can discover the secrets of the world around us in comfortable conditions, on special reclining chairs. We have 6 extraordinary films to choose from.
