The University Center of Culture and Science was established in 2024 and replaced the University Center of Culture, operating since 2015.
The headquarters of University Center of Culture and Science is located on the campus of the University of Białystok at Ciołkowskiego Street. The unit ha a well- equipped small stage (for over 100 seats), a workshop room and an open exhibition space. It conducts cultural, educational and science popularizing activities. It undertakes among others: initiatives regarding multiculturalism, tolerance and local history. It organizes performances, exhibitions, workshops, film screenings, author and discussion meeetings, conferences and other events.
The hallmark are participatory performances in which non-professionals take part: Modlitwa. Teatr Powszechny (2016-2017), Bieżenki (2018), Żywe Torpedy (2019), Walizka (2021). The Theater Residency Program has been running since 2018, inviting independent theaters from Białystok and Podlasie. These activities are carried out thanks to the support of the University of Białystok Foundation.
The University Center for Culture and Science cooperates with cultural institutions and many organizations and artistic groups such as: Lantern Theater, Papahema Theater, Coincidentia Group, Podlasie Dance Association, Białystok Photographic Society as well as with a branch of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theater Academy.

The cultural offer of the Ccenter which is largely free of charge, is addressed not only to the academic community but also to the inhabitants of Białystok and the region.
